Editor’s note: In a flash of the Spirit, I saw a room full of glorious, healing power. It was evident that the moment one stepped into this room, healing would begin. I saw four doors and instantly the understanding came …
God is speaking to us about miracles! Tommy and I have both been studying the thirty-seven miracles of Jesus. We know there were more, but these were recorded for a purpose. As you read about Jesus, the way
He responded to human suffering, and His compassion towards the sick, you will get a peek into the heart of God. That’s why I teach the Church, “If you want to see God, study the life of Jesus.” Because God wants you to enjoy divine health, He showed me something wonderful just for you! There were four doors into this “realm/room of healing.”
There was one door on each side of this room. Any of them would get you inside, although it was evident to me that one door was used much more frequently than the others. When you see something in the Spirit, it often happens in just a glimpse, yet you have immediate clarity on the matter. Over each door was a sign, similar to an EXIT sign. It explained the four doorways in which you can receive your supernatural healing from Jesus.
DOOR #1: MODERN MEDICINE
The widest and most frequently used door was titled, “Modern Medicine.” It represented doctors in all fields: surgeons, dentists, optometrists, alternative medicine, etc. Thank God for doctors! Thank God for medicine. God wants you well and you should take it any way it comes. I believe that doctors have kept many of us well until we could learn to walk by faith in some of these health issues.
Capt. John LeVrier was the Captain of the Traffic Division for the Houston Police Department back in the ’70s. He was a “cigar-Smokin’, beer-drinking Baptist” who was gloriously healed of cancer at a Kathyrn Kuhlman service. He was my personal friend, so I know this to be true. Some skeptics questioned him on a popular TV show once and asked, “Capt. LeVrier, do you believe in divine healing?” He replied, “My friend, is there any other kind?” The skeptics were speechless. You see, all healing comes from God. John then commended the doctors for the honorable task of fighting sickness and disease.
DOOR #2: THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT
The second door was marked “The Gifts of the Spirit.” In the summer of 2001, the Holy Spirit gave me an odd Word of Knowledge about “two healings at one time, and one of them had to do with torment and the other healing was in her fingernails.” No one in that packed Discovery Camp service expected the shrill, scream that occurred. A young woman about twenty-one years of age was brought forward. She was sobbing uncontrollably. We learned that two years prior, she had been brutally raped. In her struggle to live, several of her nails were completely ripped off. Jesus instantly healed her that night and her sobbing turned to joy.
Many times when doctors have done all they know to do, God will use His mighty Gifts of the Spirit to bring healing to you. It’s good to have faith in someone else’s faith. Arrive at their meetings early and expect God to use them. Take it anyway it comes.
DOOR #3: THE MINISTRY OF THE WORD
When you were a baby Christian, you probably got healed easily. Prayers seemed to get answered almost immediately, right? It’s wonderful, but God wants His babies to grow up. Learn to look to God’s Word instead of depending on people. Thank God for the Miracle Rallies, but what happens when sickness comes in the night time?
Healing can be found in every book of the Bible, dear one. Learn what God has to say to you through the wonderful healing scriptures and start quoting them out loud. Psalms 107:20 says, “He sent His Word and healed them.”
DOOR #4: THE ELDERS OF THE CHURCH
“Is there any sick among you? Let the elders of the church pray, anointing you with oil and the prayer of faith will save the sick…” James 5:14
The fourth door into miracles is through the elders of your church. Don’t stay home from church when you’re sick. God wants us to mature and shift our dependency from doctors to the Word of God. Let them anoint you with oil, mark down the date, and receive your healing that very moment. As you continue to stand in faith on your James 5:14 promise, healing will “break forth speedily.”
Which door should you use to get into the room/realm of supernatural healing? All four! May you grow in truth, respond in faith, and rejoice in the goodness of the Lord.
